  • V&A Watwrfront New Year's Eve Celebrations

    The V&A Amphitheatre, in white with fairy lights, reflects the wind theme with live bands, dancers and acrobats. The Alfred Mall is red-hot with fire as trees and surrounds sizzle with warm, spicy colours, live bands and circus performances. Observe greens and tones of earth at Nobel Square where magical tree nymphs entertain the crowds along with live bands, circus performers and carnival installations. The water theme can be seen at the Clock Tower as pirate ships are lit in shades of blue as the captain entertains audiences right through to 2017. The midnight countdown will be marked by a spectacular fireworks display as is tradition each year.

    The Festival will be held immediately after the Celtic Festival from February 19th-24th 2018 . It will run from Monday through to the Saturday. There will be 4 sectors: Visual Arts, Performing Arts, the Fringe, and the Schools. The Opening Gala Evening is always very popular. A new feature will be a Light Classical Evening on the Wednesday, and a Schools Evening on the Saturday. Both public and artists can look forward to another exciting week of creative art with something to please all tastes.
